Terms of Service

Acceptance

By accessing or using RoleComply ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If using RoleComply on behalf of an organisation, you warrant you have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What RoleComply does

RoleComply is a SaaS tool that automatically scans publicly accessible job postings for potential violations of pay transparency, EEO, ADA, OFCCP, and related employment advertising regulations in the United States, Canada, and the European Union. We provide compliance scores, violation alerts, and audit-ready reports as informational aids to HR and talent acquisition professionals.

Limitation: Our analysis is informational only, not legal advice. We make no warranty that our output is complete, error-free, or sufficient to guarantee legal compliance. Remediation decisions should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel.

Account registration

You must register with accurate, current information. You are responsible for: (a) the confidentiality of your credentials; (b) all activity under your account; (c) notifying us immediately at philip@rolecomply.com of any unauthorised access. Accounts are non-transferable.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scan job postings you do not have the right to analyse, or in a way that violates a third party's terms of service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our compliance rules, scoring algorithms, or data models.
• Use automated tools to scrape data from the Service beyond your authorised access level.
• Resell, sublicense, or provide Service access to third parties without our prior written consent.
• Transmit malicious code or conduct denial-of-service attacks against the Service.
• Build a competing product using our output, or benchmark us publicly without written consent.

Subscriptions and payment

The Service is billed monthly or annually in advance. Fees exclude applicable taxes. Payment is processed by Stripe; by providing payment details you authorise recurring charges until cancellation.

Annual plans are non-refundable except as required by law. Monthly plans may be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice — continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Beta access

Beta features are provided "as is" without warranty and may change significantly before general release. We may discontinue beta access at any time without notice.

Intellectual property

RoleComply and its underlying technology, compliance rule sets, scoring models, and all related IP are owned by or licensed to us. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service as described herein.

You retain ownership of data you input (careers page URLs, job ad content). You grant us a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the Service.

Confidentiality

Each party agrees to keep the other's confidential information (pricing, roadmaps, non-public business information) confidential and not disclose it without prior written consent, except as required by law. This obligation survives termination for three years.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; (b) compliance analysis will be accurate, complete, or current; (c) the Service will meet your specific regulatory requirements.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages including lost profits, loss of data, or business interruption.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RoleComply and its officers, employees, and agents from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law.

Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for material violations, with notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Your data is retained for 90 days post-cancellation for export; you may request deletion at any time. Sections on IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect IP or confidential information.

Changes to these terms

We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, cancel your subscription before the effective date.
